The total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in Dexsil's PetroFLAG soil system is an on-site testing kit used to determine the total petroleum hydrocarbon content in soil. It is easy to use, inexpensive, and environmentally safe. The PetroFLAG system does not distinguish between aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, but quantifies all oils, fats, and fuels as total hydrocarbons. Analyze using 10 grams of soil sample and three simple steps: extraction, filtration, and analysis.

The PetroFLAG analyzer is a handheld, portable, and lightweight device capable of running 4000 types of hydrocarbons in soil testing on a 9-volt battery. Fifteen response factors (related to density such as heavy crude oil or sparsity such as weathered gasoline) were programmed into the PetroFLAG analyzer for use based on the analyte of interest. The PetroFLAG analyzer adopts a simple menu driven interface and EEPROM storage system, designed for on-site use. The PetroFLAG system includes a set of calibration standards for measuring hydrocarbons in soil, a timer, an electronic balance, a carrying case, and ten tests. Other PetroFLAG reagents are availablePurchase separately.

1-Reaction reagent

PetroFLAG reagents are packaged in boxes of 10 each, which also includes a set of calibration solutions, one "0" and one 1000ppm solution. The size of the box is specially designed to fit perfectly in the PetroFLAG portable case, making it easy to carry and replace reagents. To ensure the quality of the testing, all reagents have been pre tested and packaged in glass ampoules.

2-extractant

PetroFLAG's extractants have high extraction efficiency for all types of soil, including road sand and gravel, coastal sediment, and clay.

3-Chromogenic solution

Specially designed colorimetric solution is used to precipitate hydrocarbons from the solution, forming uniformly sized and stable micro clusters that can exist for a period of time. Then, the colorimetric solution tube is placed into the analyzer for quantification.
